Ear training, from scale degrees upward

Ear training is the skill that turns theory from something you know into something you hear. It is learnable at any age, and it responds to fifteen focused minutes a day far better than to occasional long sessions.

The order below is deliberate. Scale degrees before intervals, intervals before chord quality, and everything before you attempt to take a full song down by ear. Skipping ahead is the commonest reason people conclude they have a bad ear.
