Sourcing
Music theory concepts are cross-checked against Aldwell & Schachter (Harmony and Voice Leading, 5th ed), Kostka & Payne (Tonal Harmony, 8th ed), and Piston (Harmony, 5th ed). Ear-training methodology draws on Karpinski (Manual for Ear Training and Sight Singing, 2nd ed). Examples cite real repertoire where possible: Bach chorales, folk standards, common-practice progressions.
Review workflow
Every essay is drafted, checked against source, played through on a piano, and read aloud once for clarity before publish. Interactive tools are unit-tested against known correct answers before deploy.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected inline with a dated note at the bottom of the page. Small typos are fixed silently. Substantive rewrites include a change-log entry.
